Produced as a completely new work following the full seven-part anime film adaptation of the popular novel by Kinoko Nasu, "Kara no Kyoukai: the Garden of sinners." It was included as a bonus feature in the Blu-ray box set of the seven theatrical films and was also released as a standalone DVD. It had a limited one-week late-night screening at Theatre Shinjuku. The official website announced in August 2010 that a complete Blu-ray box set would be released. The BD BOX would also include a "Visual Chronicle Book," compiling all the artwork and illustrations related to the "Kara no Kyoukai" theatrical films. Furthermore, the finale bonus disc is a brand-new 30-minute "Kara no Kyoukai" final chapter additionally produced by the official team. The BD BOX is priced at 52,500 yen and was officially released on February 2, 2011. Simultaneously, a separately sold DVD version of 『Kara no Kyoukai: the Garden of sinners - the Garden of sinners』 will also be released on February 2.
