This is the first movie starring Barbie—Barbie's debut in "The Nutcracker." In the film, Barbie plays the lead role of Clara, who receives a nutcracker as a gift from her Aunt Elizabeth on Christmas Eve. That evening, as she falls asleep, the evil Mouse King casts a wicked spell on Clara, shrinking her to the size of the nutcracker. To break the curse on both the nutcracker and Clara, they embark on a magical journey together to find the Sugarplum Princess.
