Domestic animated comedy, also known as "Happy Journey to the West," is adapted from KIZI's famous online novel "Xi You Ji." It is a fresh animated series suitable for all ages, staying true to the original work while presenting it in a different form from the sprawling hundreds of thousands of words of the source material. Watching "Treasure Lucky Star," the vibrant colors, fast-paced cartoon panels, simple yet vivid and highly distinctive character designs, and the tightly woven, rich, and compact storyline can't help but bring a smile to your face.
In this world, nothing is more daunting than the word "seriousness," and the protagonist of this animation is the epitome of seriousness. Traveling all the way from the Tang Dynasty in the East to India to seek the true scriptures—no one in their right mind would do such a thing. Yet he did it, and with such determination and purity. He is Xuanzang, a former disciple of the Buddha who once listened to scriptures at the feet of Tathagata in his past life and was once one of the renowned Ten Great Disciples of Tathagata. However, because he lost focus slightly while listening to the scriptures, he was banished to the mortal world by Tathagata, tasked with the great mission of seeking the true scriptures, enduring the pains of separation, sorrow, and hardship in the human world...
In truth, things are far more complicated than they appear on the surface. It all began when the Dipankara Buddha stepped down, and Sakyamuni ascended to the highest leadership position in the divine realm. Yet, everything has its cause and effect. Although Sakyamuni managed the gods and immortals with great order, he could not escape the day when he would be replaced by Maitreya Buddha.
