The well-known tale of Sleeping Beauty from "Grimm's Fairy Tales" features a rewritten yet still terrifying curse that unfortunately comes true on the princess's 15th birthday. The princess falls into a deep sleep for a hundred years, only to be awakened by a brave prince's kiss, and they live happily ever after. This animation offers another interpretation of the story, where the curse manifests in a different form. The origin of the titles "Princess of Thorns" or "Sleeping Beauty" is portrayed like a humorous joke. On the princess's 15th birthday, she accidentally learns of her mother's youthful love story through a spindle: her mother once deeply loved a young man. Before he went off to war, she gave him one of two crosses. Later, rumors spread that the young man had died in battle. Heartbroken and without verifying the truth, she married the king. However, the young man had only lost a leg in the war, and her life was never happy again. The princess finds her mother's former lover and understands why her mother has loved him all these years. Intending to repay the debt her mother owed this man, she ends up repeating her mother's mistakes.
