This is a Pixar animated short featuring an adorable little snowman. A beautiful snow globe serves as the snowman's home—the kind filled with swirling snowflakes.
The snowman can't help but fall in love with a tropical mermaid, who is also a toy. However, his beloved does not live inside a snow globe; she exists in the vast world outside. For the mermaid, for love, the snowman devises a series of escape plans. Bottle openers, electric files, even bombs are deployed, yet aside from filling his home with a blizzard, the snowman makes no progress.
During one explosion, the snow globe is shaken loose and begins to fall. As it plummets, the snowman finally spots the "emergency exit" on the globe and excitedly opens the door. This time, he finally gets close to the mermaid—but where exactly is he? Why does happiness always seem within sight, yet just out of reach?
