Produced by the Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha as a commemorative OVA for the 750th anniversary of the passing of Shinran Shonin. This work depicts the life of Shinran Shonin, the founder of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism who overcame numerous hardships and lived alongside the common people, across three chapters totaling 108 minutes. The animation production was handled by Group TAC, with direction by veteran director Koji Ui, known for works such as "Kimba the White Lion" and "Legend of the Forest." The cast features a gathering of accomplished talents, including Keiju Kobayashi as Shinran, Taro Ishida as Honen, Sumi Shimamoto as Eshinni, Satomi Koorogi as Kikubo, Makiko Oomoto as Haru, and Keiko Takeshita as the narrator.
