"Bem Bem Hunter Kotengu Tenmaru" is a manga series by Kabutomushi Taro, serialized in Comic BonBon, and the television anime adaptation based on it. The series was originally titled simply "Bem Bem Hunter" at the start of its serialization, but was renamed around the same time as its anime adaptation. The story follows the adventures of the young tengu Tenmaru, who sets out to subdue the 108 yokai that escaped into the human world due to his own carelessness. The plot unfolds with the premise of "a child of the yokai kingdom's royal family hunting down yokai that have fled into the human world." The anime version aired on Thursdays at 7:00 PM but was canceled after 19 episodes.
