This work is a remake of the 1985 film "Nobita's Little Star Wars," serving as the 41st Doraemon movie. On a certain day during summer vacation, Nobita finds a miniature spaceship shaped like a rocket, inside which hides a palm-sized alien named Papi. It turns out that Papi is the president of the planet Pirika, but a rebel army has launched a coup on Pirika. With the help of Doraemon's gadget, the "Small Light," Nobita and his friends can shrink to the size of dolls and play with the alien. However, a whale-shaped battleship from Papi's homeland attacks Doraemon and Nobita. To protect their friend and his home, Doraemon and his companions decide to travel to Papi's home planet, Pirika, and join forces to fight against the rebel army.
