01 Tao Ranting:
This short film records a small incident between a mother and daughter, focusing on the generation gap between children and parents in modern family relationships.
When dealing with situations, the mother and daughter have completely different approaches. The daughter often adopts a radical and venting attitude when facing problems, while the mother chooses to endure when confronted with the same issues.
In their relationship, the mother unconditionally cares for and loves her daughter. However, as an elder, she must also supervise and educate her daughter when she slacks off, leading to conflicts between them. The daughter yearns for independence and believes her parents cannot understand her.
But after a failure, filled with regret and guilt, the daughter is moved by her mother’s tenderness. Both begin to reminisce about the past. Finally, the daughter seems to understand her mother, and the two share a silent, heartfelt exchange. The tears shed by the daughter are both tears of remorse and tears of realization.
It is hoped that this graduation animation will resonate with young viewers, inspire them to communicate more with their parents or children, and promote harmony in family relationships.
