The film follows a wondrous adventure of the complex emotions inside the mind of a young girl, Riley, who has just entered adolescence. In her Headquarters, an unexpected demolition is underway to make room for something entirely new: unexpected emotions. Joy (voiced by Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), Fear (Tony Hale), and Disgust (Liza Lapira), who have long worked together seamlessly, are thrown into disarray by the sudden arrival of a new emotion: Anxiety. And it seems she hasn't come alone.
