During the holiday, the Tendo and Saotome families, along with Ukyo and Shampoo, travel to a scenic hot spring resort. They stay at the Doll Mansion, and although Ukyo and Shampoo inevitably bicker over Ranma, the overall atmosphere remains pleasant. Ukyo happens to hear a legend about the inn: it is said that a doll placed in the hallway will seek revenge if it gets dirtied. A fight over food breaks out between the Saotome father and son, causing chaos in the inn. Ranma (voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi) accidentally knocks over the doll in the hallway and carelessly puts it back in place. Little does he know that he has already triggered a taboo—the vengeful doll possesses Akane, swearing to take revenge on Ranma for harming her. Meanwhile, Akane’s soul becomes trapped inside the doll’s body…
