I am a thief.
Throughout all ages, many kinds of thieves have existed, but I am slightly different from them.
I do not steal money. I have no interest whatsoever in antiques, jewels, or other valuable works of art.
I am a thief who steals sound.
The theme of "thoughtcrime" is borrowed from George Orwell's novel *1984*. And at the very moment I declare it as such, the act of borrowing transforms into homage. The line between borrowing and homage may seem ambiguous, but in truth, it exists nowhere. The reverse is also true. Homage carries the precarious potential to become mere borrowing.
The lyrics of this song pay homage to the haiku of Ozaki Hōsai and his later years.
That, surely, could also be called borrowing.
